For those of you who keep an eye on our monthly Wine Specials menu, you will notice a few Miner Family wines on our upcoming September Wine specials.
I’ve chosen 3 wines and want to share a bit about them and the Miner Family Winery with you.
The Miner Family Winery is family owned and tucked into the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation, in the heart of Napa Valley.
I’m grateful to Chris Berry, East Coast Regional Sales Manager for tasting me on Miner Wines this summer. It was a very enlightening experience and I was impressed by the quality of their line of wines.
- Miner Family Viognier, 2011 California (Fantastic White Wine!)
Aromatically complex with citrus and honeysuckle notes on the nose and a plush feel on the palate, our Viognier consistently displays a fine balance of natural acidity and intense concentration.
- Miner Family Chardonnay, 2010 Napa Valley
This chardonnay represents a composition showcasing several of Napa’s finest vineyards. The decadent, richly woven fruit flavors are the result of carefully chosen vineyard sites coupled with picking only when the grapes had achieved maximum ripeness.
- Miner “Stagecoach” Merlot, Napa Valley (My FAVORITE!)
Richly woven red fruit flavors with mocha and some slight earthy-cedar box aromas, our Merlot has a wonderful round mouthfeel. Challenged by the rocky volcanic soils of this mountainous vineyard site, the vines at Stagecoach produce fruit of extraordinary quality and intensity.
