Sutler’s Gin Tasting Dinner with Mark Weddle: June 8th, 2018

Join us in the Wagner Room on Friday, June 8th as special guest Mark Weddle, Operations Manager for Sutler’s Spirit Co., presents three original cocktails and explains the flavors and processes that go into the making of Sutler’s gin.

“Lavender and coriander lay the firm foundation for our gin, warmed by the spice of juniper, and ornamented with notes of lemon and bitter orange.”

If you haven’t met Mark yet, he is also the Owner/Founder of Cocktail Culture, a mixology training and consulting company based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mark has been creating innovative and unique cocktails for well over 20 years and is considered to be one of the best mixologists in the Southeastern U.S.

Sutler’s Spirit Co., Winston-Salem’s first legal distillery in more than two centuries, won the Gold at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for Sutler’s Gin under the steady hands and hard work of distiller Tim Nolan and founder Scot Sanborn. Sanborn shared with Eric Ginsburg of Triad City Beat, that he “started volunteering to do things like sweeping at other distilleries in exchange for informal lessons on the trade.”

Excited to create a menu to complement this award-winning North Carolina spirit, Chef Michael has prepared a four-course farm-to-table meal that incorporates and compliments Sutler’s Gin.
